Mantai Chow is a video storyteller who thinks as a journalist and works as an artist with a go-getter bent. His work has appeared in outlets such as The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Atlantic and South China Morning Post, etc.
He graduated with honors from Columbia’s Graduate School of Journalism in 2016.
Prior to graduate school, He was the principal reporter of Radio Television Hong Kong, the public broadcaster in Hong Kong. Mantai covered politics, human rights issues and breaking news in Hong Kong and mainland China for more than 10 years.
He also works as a one-person-band video journalist with a passion for producing human-interest stories and documentaries. One of his films won the Award of Recognition in The Best Shorts Competition and was accepted into New York Short Film Festival, Oasis Short Film Festival.
Outside of work, Mantai is a cat lover and always learning new massage techniques for cats. He also loves drinking coffee, especially right before sleep. “It just helps me sleep better,” he said.
